About Our Meets
General information about WeyFurs events
Entry to WeyFurs meets is free of charge. We ask that you support the venue by purchasing food and/or drinks during the event. This helps keep our events free to attend and keeps our relationship with the venue strong.
Yes! By attending any WeyFurs event you agree to our Code of Conduct. We strongly recommend giving it a read before your first meet. It's short, but it matters.
Venue details including the full address, Google Maps link, and transport info are listed on each event card on the Events page. Guildford is well connected by rail from London and surrounding Surrey towns.
WeyFurs is run by a small team of volunteers from the furry community. Meet the team on the Staff page. We're all passionate members of the community who want to make Guildford a great place for furries.
Attending
Everything you need to know before you show up
Yes. WeyFurs events are strictly 18+. No exceptions can be made, regardless of whether you are accompanied by a parent or guardian. This policy exists to protect the community and keep our events operating.
Yes, you should always bring valid photo ID. Staff or venue security may request ID at any time to verify age. We recommend bringing one of:
- Current passport (any country)
- UK driving licence (photo card)
- PASS-accredited card (e.g. CitizenCard)
Failure to present valid ID when requested may result in being turned away at the door.
No. To comply with venue licensing conditions and keep our events going, all food and drink must be purchased at the venue. Bringing outside food or drink results in a warning. After 3 warnings, you may be suspended from future events.
Any alcohol consumed must be purchased at the venue bar, never brought from outside. Consuming outside alcohol at or near the venue results in a warning. Repeated incidents count toward the 3-warning suspension threshold. Please drink responsibly and know your limits.
A relaxed, friendly social! It's essentially a get-together for the local furry community. You'll find a mix of suiters, artists, and fans just hanging out, chatting, and having a good time. Staff wear identifiable badges and are always happy to help if you're feeling lost or anxious.
You may take photos of yourself and others who have given clear consent. Never photograph someone without asking first. This applies especially to fursuiters. Commercial photography or press coverage requires prior written permission from WeyFurs staff.
Fursuits & Costumes
For suiters and curious non-suiters alike
Absolutely not. WeyFurs is for everyone in the furry community, and non-suiters are a huge part of our meets. Full fursuits are not permitted at our events, but partials and accessories are very welcome.
Yes, partials, tails, ears, paws, and other accessories are all welcome and very much celebrated. Show off your character however you like!
Where venue space allows, a costume adjustment area will be provided. This area is for attendees adjusting costume parts and their helpers only. No photography in the area, and no food or drink (except bottled water). Please be respectful of others' equipment. Never touch someone else's costume without explicit permission.
Suits must be appropriate for a public social setting. No overtly sexual costumes, no fetish gear worn in public spaces (collars are fine; harnesses, leashes, and other BDSM equipment are not). If you're unsure, ask us in advance.
Rules & Conduct
Keeping WeyFurs safe and welcoming for everyone
Depending on severity, consequences range from a warning to a temporary suspension or a permanent ban. Food and outside-drink issues are warning-based, and 3 warnings normally leads to suspension. The most serious violations still result in immediate permanent bans. See the full Code of Conduct for details.
- Any form of harassment, assault, or physical aggression
- Possession, use, or supply of illegal substances
- Bringing anyone under 18 to an event
- Sexual misconduct of any kind
In rare cases, yes, if behaviour outside WeyFurs events is deemed serious enough to pose a risk to the safety or reputation of the community and its members. Any such decision is made collectively by the organising team and is never taken lightly.
